A good man. He cared.

I met Joe well over 40 years ago when I was a welfare rights adviser in Loughborough and he was a councillor. I remember him still, several career changes later on my part, as a good, feisty and committed man who gave his all to the causes he believed in and always told it straight. He leaves a gap, but more importantly, he made a mark. The world is better for the time he spent in it.
