Fond memories

‘Uncle’ Joe was like a real uncle to me as he has always felt part of our family. I have fond memories of his kindness and of how he always made me feel special. Although there was the time, when I was a baby, when he infamously dunked my dummy in his Guinness and made me cry! I remember lots of interesting political debates with him where his compassion for others and his desire to help his local community shone out. I also remember going to see folk bands with him and sharing our love of Irish music. I will miss him greatly and I send my condolences to Jean and his family. Xx
